Our fork sensors at SCHMACHTL use a precise infrared light band that illuminates a CCD line to accurately measure moving objects by their shadowing. With an outstanding resolution of 14 µm and high reproducibility, they enable the precise measurement of finest yarns and wires. They also reliably detect the position of transparent edges, identify the thinnest or thickest wire, and offer many other analysis options. Due to their vacuum resistance, they are also ideal for use in carbon fiber production.
